Heath Ledger's co-stars remember caring father
It's been five months since Heath Ledger passed away, and although the media wants a "dark story," co-stars say that just isn't the man they knew. Speaking at Sunday's press day for The Dark Knight, which opens July 18th, Gary Oldman reminisced about how during breaks in filming, Heath would "sit on the curbside ... laugh and talk about his daughter Matilda [Rose]." The actor added, "I thought he was just a beautiful kid. I thought he was just wonderful. I had a real affection for him."
Co-star Aaron Eckhart, who plays District Attorney Harvey Dent opposite Heath's Joker, agreed, sharing, "Heath showed me pictures of [Matilda] ... [he] would come in and say she did this and she did that."
Heath passed away from an accidental prescription pill overdose on January 22nd, 2008. Matilda, now 2 ½, is his daughter with actress Michelle Williams.

Co-star says Amy Poehler will "be a great mom"
Though Saturday Night Live is on summer hiatus, star Seth Meyers says the buzz of the cast is Amy Poehler's baby, due in late fall. Seth, 34, spoke to People.com at the premiere of Journey to the Center of the Earth, joking the infant will make an appearance on the sketch comedy show.
"When [Amy Poehler] has her baby, her baby is going to host 'Weekend Update.' That's the newest change. But other than that, [the show] is pretty much the same."
On Amy's maternal instincts, Seth says "I think she's going to be a great mom. We're all excited for her."
Earlier this year, Amy, 36, starred in the hit comedy Baby Mama, which premiered shortly before she announced her pregnancy. The child will be the first for the funnygirl; dad is husband Will Arnett, 38.

"Everything" about motherhood surprises
Revealing that being a mother has "changed and deepened" everything in her life, Maggie Gyllenhaal shared that it has improved her acting by exposing her to both the highs and lows of parenthood -- things that she shares "absolutely equally" with fiancé Peter Sarsgaard.
I never knew that I could be so tired. I never knew that I could work so hard. I never knew that I could love so much or be so patient or be so excited by the tiniest, tiniest little thing. Everything about it has surprised me.
Now that daughter Ramona is approaching 21 months, Maggie has headed back to work, albeit to a lesser number of projects than she took on previously. The Dark Knight star, 30, explained that it's "really difficult" to draw her away from her little girl, and that it takes a high-quality script for her to give a film a second glance.
It's difficult to find a script that's good enough for me to think, 'Okay, I really need to do this instead of being with my daughter.
Known for her thought-provoking, risk-taking performances in such films as Sherrybaby and Secretary, Maggie has been questioned -- like fellow actress Naomi Watts -- as to if her choice in subject matter may change now that she's a mother.
Some people have asked me whether I'll choose things that ... have a more sort of child-appropriate content, and I don't think so. I think I'll choose what's interesting to me.
The Dark Knight is in theaters July 18th.

Barack Obama Painting
I’m not sure of the origin of this painting of Barack Obama, but i thought the inclusion of a unicorn, multiple sparkles, a halo of sunshine, water, clouds, and roses too much to pass up.

Will Smith: "The kids can do anything they want"
For Will Smith's children Trey, 15, Jaden Christopher Syre, 10 next month, and Willow Camille Reign, 7 ½, the path to their dad's heart goes straight through his funny bone. In a new interview with USA Today, the 39-year-old actor shared his theory that "as long as your characters are harmless, or in pain, they can be funny." In turn, Will said, his children are given some leeway when they're being particularly humorous. He said,
The kids can do anything they want, as long as Daddy thinks it's funny. And artistically, that's where you need to be, too. You have to find the humor in things.
Willow and Jaden are Will's children with wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith; Trey is Will's child from a previous relationship.
