Alison Carroll is Lara Croft
Alison Carroll, who is a 23-year-old gymnast from Croydon, England will be representing the Tomb Raider brand worldwide. Apparently she will be given SAS survival training, weapons training course, and coursework in archaeology to prepare her for the rigours of being the legendary Tomb Raider, and following in Angelina Jolie’s footsteps.
Alison Carroll, while indelicate and stoic in appearance, will probably serve the Tomb Raider franchise well, as her atheticism is indisputable.

Victoria Beckham Sues Magazine Over Diet Pill Claim
According to NOW Magazine, Victoria Beckham asked her sister to sent her the diet pills from the UK to Los Angeles in order to her keep her weight as she desires, meaning down. Victoria Beckham is keen to take some legal actions as she is reportedly as “mad as hell and she’s not going to take it anymore!”
The singer-turned-fashion-icon is suing the British tabloid for false claiming that she is addicted to diet pills. The article in question has been deleted from the publication’s website and it’s not clear whether a lawsuit is underway or a public excuse will make Victoria change her mind about suing.
In other Celebrity reports, Victoria Beckham would showcase her new dress designs at New York Fashion Week.
The accusation is dangerous, defamatory and blatantly untrue. Victoria takes her position as a role model to young women very seriously and is horrified by this hurtful, fabricated story. It is now with her lawyers.

Christina Applegate Cancer-Free
The 36-year-old actress Christina Applegate, who was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer this month, courageously talked about her ordeal on ABC’s Good Morning America, declaring she has undergone a double mastectomy, even though the cancer was only present in one of her breasts: “I’m clear. Absolutely 100-percent clear and clean.
I didn’t want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. I just wanted to kind of be rid of this whole thing for me. This was the choice that I made, and it was a tough one.
-states the Emmy-nominated actress as she explains the drastic step taken in order to make sure the cancer would not recur, as was the case with her mother -
Reconstructive surgery is scheduled over the next eight months, but Christina Applegate faces everything with a developed sense of humor, which also helped her get past the hardships.
Applegate’s plans for the future are to appear on Stand Up to Cancer on ABC, CBS and NBC and raise funds for cancer research, as well as return to ABC’s Samantha Who? in September.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law earnings donation to Heath Ledger’s daughter
Once again, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law amaze the public, not with their talent as actors, but by donating their share of the earnings from the new movie “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus” to Heath Ledger’s two-year-old daughter with Michelle Williams, Matilda, in order to ensure her a secure future.
Production of “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus”, which will be released in 2009, was temporarily suspended because of Heath Ledger’s tragic death, so his role was recast with Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law. The actors will portray physically changed transformations of Ledger’s character, Tony, as he travels through three separate dimensions accessed using a paranormal mirror that belonged to a traveling theatre group.
The movie’s director Terry Gilliam was also impressed by the actors’ involvement in finishing the production and by their altruism: “They came, they did the work, they allowed the movie to be finished, they didn’t take money – the money goes the Heath’s daughter. That’s extraordinary!”

Sam Hornish Jr. on Balance Between Work and Family
Sam Hornish Jr. knew that it would be difficult to find a balance between fatherhood and being a NASCAR driver, but he didn't realize how tough it would actually be. After his wife Crystal gave birth to daughter Addison Faith, now 6 months, Sam had to leave for Daytona, where he began to keep a very hectic schedule. "I was gone for four days, I came back for two, then I was out in California and Las Vegas," Sam explains. "It was very, very hard." One thing that makes the juggling easier is Crystal's support. She "makes sure that it works" and Sam doesn't think she "get[s] enough credit for that."
I have to hand it to Crystal, she got up and back coming to the races a lot faster than probably most moms would do, and that's because it was important to her.
Sam, 29, and Crystal were married June 5th, 2004.

Real World Alum Beth Stolarczyk's Pregnancy Forces Wedding Adjustments
In explaining why she walked down the aisle six months pregnant, Beth Stolarcyzk admits that she has "always done things a little controversial." The Real World season two cast member, 39, "was not expecting to be pregnant on my wedding day" and had already purchased a Carolina Herrera gown prior to learning that she was going to be a mom. With alterations by R-Mine Bridal Couture to adjust the dress to her new form, Beth wed real estate developer Matt Ciriello as planned on Saturday, August 9th in Santa Monica.
In addition to the dress, signs of pregnancy made it into the footwear as well -- Beth initially chose to wear white Havana flip flops due to swelling in her feet! In the end, she decided to go barefoot for the beach wedding, attended by 175 guests (plus one baby girl on the way!). Beth tells Us Weekly, "I have never been happier in my life. We are over the moon."

Elle MacPherson Nursing Bras: Look Like a Model (or Just Wear a Bra by One)
The mission: to find a nursing bra that could support my newly massive milk machines without digging in to give that oh-so-unsexy quadra-boob effect. Who knew Elle Macpherson would be the one to rescue me? The model-turned-designer's lingerie line was a favorite of mine pre-pregnancy (Oh, to be that nicely shaped C-cup again…) so when I saw that she also sold nursing bras, I decided to give them a shot.
The Maternelle ($55), which comes in white, black and pale pink, is the most comfortable bra I've owned that actually holds everything in place. I might even keep wearing it after my breastfeeding days are over. Its cotton lined cups are soft but offer sturdy support at the same time, and there's a pretty hint of lace at the top, which is a nice contrast to some of the more utilitarian nursing undergarments out there. Plus, there are six rows of hooks in the back, so it can stay snug as you lose those post-pregnancy pounds. Elle Macpherson also offers the La Mere bra ($62; pictured), which has less support, but a lot more lace. It's so gorgeous, your significant other may not even realize it has another purpose besides looking pretty.
Both bras can be purchased at Amazon.com.

Juliette Binoche Talks About the Power of Children
Calling children "the most astonishing piece of creation" and childbirth "such a mysterious moment," actress Juliette Binoche -- mom to Raphaël, 14 ½, and Hana, 8 ½ -- says in a new interview that "when we have kids, it's a decision of three people."
They come with their own story, their own power. A friend of mine said that bringing up children is like going up stairs. One step, then breathing, reaching a certain point, then another step, that's fine, then another and, oh, my god, another after that; always on the move.
On the move is a state of being the 44-year-old actress and her children know well. Juliette says she never had to choose between career or family because she "always took" Raphaël and Hana along when a film role required her to travel. "When my son was ten, I asked him if he wanted to come, and we went all round the world, changing schools," Juliette says. There is no power struggle between Juliette and the fathers of her children, because both children are co-parented; For Juliette, "there is no hierarchy in life" and thus "there is no boss" of Raphaël and Hana. She adds,
You have to recognize your task early on. If you decide you want children, you have to take responsibility for them until they fly on their own. It doesn't mean I don't make mistakes, because I do. I want to be perfect –- of course. I've never wanted to say no to my son, so I always said yes.
Raphaël's father is scuba diver André Halle; Hana's father is actor Benoît Magimel.

Marisol Nichols Celebrates Shower; Prepares for Daughter's Arrival
As she counts down to her October 4th due date, actress Marisol Nichols celebrated her upcoming arrival with a baby shower held on Saturday at her new North Hollywood home. Hosted by a number of close friends, guests, including 24 costar and new mom Mary Lynn Rajskub, feasted on classic BBQ food -- cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, chili, potato salad, and fresh watermelon. However, the main attraction was the cake: six large letter blocks that spelled out "GIRL BABY." Cake artist Dorie Kinney made each block a different flavor: chocolate with fudge filling and tiny chocolate chips, white cake with raspberries, white cake with apricot white chocolate mousse, lemon cake with lemon curd, almond cake with peach amaretto filling and marble cake with white chocolate mousse. Yum!
While Marisol greeted her guests, those who had already arrived participated in guessing games, including how many inches her belly is around, and what the baby's weight and length will be once she arrives. Husband Taron Lexton and Marisol, who started with five names for their daughter, have narrowed them down to two -- but she won't share! "We're going to wait till we meet her and go, 'There we go! That's the name,'" Marisol explains. "I've already sort of felt a personality there. She'll tell me certain things, like [to] sit down if I'm moving too much. She'll kick and it'll hurt and I'll sit down."
With about seven weeks left in the pregnancy, Marisol admits that she's starting to panic. "A little bit of panic mixed in with a lot of planning and a lot of getting ready. It's literally an instant switch from single life to parenthood. I love it though." She laughs, "I'm really glad they give you nine months to get ready!" Still, the 36-year-old actress feels prepared to welcome her little girl. She tells PEOPLE,
To meet her, that's all we want. I can't wait to meet her in person.

Diana Krall Brings Twin Sons Along for Tour
Having twins can be hectic, especially when both parents are musicians who are out on tour! That's the dilemma Elvis Costello and Diana Krall are facing with their 20-month-old fraternal twin sons Dexter Henry Lorcan and Frank Harlan James -- both parents are currently in the middle of different concert tours.
For now, the twins stay with Diana, 43, who calls "being on a bus with two toddlers" her biggest challenge. It's not just the bus rides that are tough, the songstress explains. Each particular venue she performs at presents its own set of circumstances, changing in each city -- "I have to get them on overnight runs, figure out where the playground activities are for them in each new place, do my shows and be a full-time mom -- all without Elvis," Diana shares. However, she wouldn't change it all. "It's incredibly joyful and I feel like I have it all," she says, even if "having it all is exhausting."
Diana, 43, and Elvis, 53, were married December 5, 2003.

Alicia Keys Says Fame Brings A Lot Of Emptiness
Everyone wants to be famous but the multi-Grammy winner Alicia Keys says her fame can make you “a ghost of yourself” and “can bring a lot of emptiness”. That’s not such a good news? Isn’t it? The 27-year-old singer, who sold over 23 million albums and winning over 80 major awards - including 11 Grammys, says fame can really make you lose yourself and living each day on the edge.
As a recall, Alicia Keys back in 2006, exasperated by the pressures of fame, she took a break from music and traveled to Egypt to recuperate discovering the power of the nature. In other Celebrity news, Alicia Keys is to perform the theme tune to the next James Bond film “Quantum of Solace” with White Stripes singer Jack White.
Fame can bring a lot of emptiness. You are so driven that you work 20 hours a day, you get four hours of sleep, you do all that for 10 years straight. Then, all of a sudden, you think, ‘I’m a singer and, yes, I’m a songwriter and, yes, I perform, but what else is in my life? Do I have a family? Am I growing inside? Am I always too busy to see my mother and the people I love?’
- Alicia Keys told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper -You have to numb yourself because you are away so long. It can change you and that is not the type of person I want to be. People always want something from you - you become like a ghost of yourself or of the person you could be.
- Alicia Keys added -
