Elle MacPherson Nursing Bras: Look Like a Model (or Just Wear a Bra by One)

Ellemacpherson The mission: to find a nursing bra that could support my newly massive milk machines without digging in to give that oh-so-unsexy quadra-boob effect. Who knew Elle Macpherson would be the one to rescue me? The model-turned-designer's lingerie line was a favorite of mine pre-pregnancy (Oh, to be that nicely shaped C-cup again…) so when I saw that she also sold nursing bras, I decided to give them a shot.

The Maternelle ($55), which comes in white, black and pale pink, is the most comfortable bra I've owned that actually holds everything in place. I might even keep wearing it after my breastfeeding days are over. Its cotton lined cups are soft but offer sturdy support at the same time, and there's a pretty hint of lace at the top, which is a nice contrast to some of the more utilitarian nursing undergarments out there. Plus, there are six rows of hooks in the back, so it can stay snug as you lose those post-pregnancy pounds. Elle Macpherson also offers the La Mere bra ($62; pictured), which has less support, but a lot more lace. It's so gorgeous, your significant other may not even realize it has another purpose besides looking pretty.

Both bras can be purchased at Amazon.com.
