Trailblazers' Brandon Roy Includes Son in Proposal - SendMeRSS
Portland Trailblazers' Brandon Roy knows all about assists on the basketball court, but it was the one that he received from his 16-month-old son Brandon Jr. in June that was the most important. The 24-year-old had decided that the time was right to propose to BJ's mom, his longtime girlfriend Tiana Bardwell, but he wasn't quite sure how to do it. Brandon explains that he "just kind of free-styled" and asked if she wanted to go look at engagement rings to get an idea of what she'd like.
After Tiana said okay, Brandon suddenly changed the plans, explaining that he wanted to take a nap and eat before they left the house. Once he got to the bedroom for his "nap," he texted Tiana, telling her to look in the drawer in his closet, adding that, "If you find something, you can have it." Intrigued, Tiana found the drawer and there, at the bottom, was a ring box. "I got all emotional," she remembers. At that moment, Brandon walked in with their son, kneeled down and asked Tiana a very important question.
BJ wants to know if you will marry his daddy?
